Q. Can non-swimmers do River Rafting?
A. Yes. It is not mandatory to know swimming. You will be given life jackets to wear to keep you afloat.
Q. Can children do rafting?
A. Children of 14 years of age and above can go rafting.
Q. What is the reporting time for rafting?
A. Reporting time for rafting is between 8:00 am to 8:30 am.
Q. Where exactly is the rafting venue?
A. The Rafting venue is at Kolad. We will guide you with the direction to reach the starting point.
Q. What is the total rafting duration and distance covered?
A. The total rafting duration is approx. 2 hours. The total distance covered is approx. 14 km.
Q. Do you provide locker facility to keep out belongings?
A. We do not provide a locker facility. We recommend you to not carry any valuables.
Q. How many persons can go in 1 raft?
A. We have rafts with passenger capacity for 8, 9 and 11 persons.
Q. Will there be someone to guide us on the raft?
A. Yes. A very highly trained and professional rafting guide will be there on each raft to guide you throughout the rafting trip.
Safety
Q. Is river rafting on Kundalika River a safe activity?
A. Yes. River Rafting on Kundalika river is done with the highest safety standards.
Q. Is it safe for non-swimmers?
A. Yes. 95 % of the people who go rafting are non-swimmers.
Bookings
Q. How much in advance shall I book my rafting trip?
A. For weekends, we recommend you to book atleast 5 to 7 days in advance. You can also book a day or two prior. Simply call us and check the availability.
Q. Can I come to Kolad and make a booking on the spot?
A. No. Advance booking and payment is mandatory.
Q. How do I check the availability of seats for rafting?
A. You can send an enquiry online to check availability.
Payments
Q. How do I pay for my booking?
A. You can pay securely online on our online booking partner’s website. You can pay via debit card, credit card or net banking.
Q. Can I pay in cash at the venue?
A. No. We do not accept payments in cash. Advance payment online is mandatory.
Q. How much payment do I have to make to confirm my booking?
A. You will have to make 100 % payment in advance to confirm your booking.
Cancellations and Refunds
Q. What is the cancellation policy for River Rafting?
A. If you cancel 5 or more days in advance we offer full refund. If you cancel between 3 to 5 days in advance, we offer 50 % refund. If you cancel less than 3 days before your booking date, we do not offer any refund. (Transaction fee of 3.5 % to 5 % extra will be charged for cancellation)
