About Kundalika River Rafting
River Rafting on Kundalika river at Kolad was started a few years back by a group of rafting enthusiasts. The Kundalika River originates from a small remote town named Bhira and flows into the Arabian Sea, passing through Kolad, Korlai, Chaul, Roha and Salav. Rafting is done taking advantage of the gushing water that is released from the Mulshi dam every day in the morning which generate rapids of Grade II and Grade III. The rafting start time coincides with the time at which water is released from the dam. During monsoons, rafting can be enjoyed all day long but mostly there is only one rafting batch in the morning.
Kolad, a small village in Maharashtra has now become the favourite weekend getaway destination for adventure lovers from Mumbai and Pune. There are many farm stay options available which offer decent accommodation and delicious veg and non-veg dishes.
